I remember sitting with a friend to help them prepare for their citizenship exam. We went through the official Discover Canada booklet β€” all 70 pages β€” trying to memorize laws, history, geography, and national symbols. There is a lot to cover.

What was missing was a way to practice. Not random questions from the internet, but serious questions drawn directly from the official guide, with clear explanations. I built CanCitiPrep to fill that gap.

Our mission

CanCitiPrep has a simple mission: help future Canadian citizens pass their citizenship exam on the first try.

We want everyone preparing for this exam β€” regardless of their French or English level, regardless of their educational background β€” to have access to the best preparation tools available. The citizenship exam is a meaningful milestone. It deserves serious preparation.

"Every new Canadian citizen should feel ready and confident on the day of their exam."

Since launching in January 2026, CanCitiPrep offers over 770 questions organized by theme, covering the full Discover Canada guide. The platform is available in French and English, because Canada is a bilingual country β€” and so are our future citizens.

Editorial policy

The quality and accuracy of our content is our top priority. Here is how we work:

Official sources only

All our questions and explanations are based on the official guide Discover Canada: The Rights and Responsibilities of Citizenship, published by Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC). We do not rely on third-party sources or unofficial interpretations.

Regular review

We update our content whenever the Canadian government modifies the official guide or when IRCC policies evolve. Information on the Constitution, rights, historical dates, and government structures is verified directly against official Government of Canada sources.

Transparency

We believe citizenship candidates deserve to know exactly where the questions they practice come from. Every answer comes with an explanation that references information contained in the official guide.

CanCitiPrep is not affiliated with the Government of Canada. We are an independent exam preparation service. The official Discover Canada guide is available for free on the IRCC website.
